Startup MVP Development
in Chennai.

The point of an MVP is to find out whether anyone wants this, using as little of your runway as possible. That means building the smallest thing real users can actually use — and being talked out of the six features that can wait until someone has paid you.

Scoping

The conversation that saves the most money

Most MVPs fail on scope, not on code. These are the cuts worth making before anyone writes a line.

One core action, done well What is the single thing a user must be able to do for this to be worth using? Everything else is version two, however obvious it feels now.
Admin panels can be spreadsheets Until you have volume, you can run operations manually. A polished internal dashboard built before launch is runway spent on nobody.
Manual beats automated at first Doing matching, approval or onboarding by hand for the first fifty users teaches you what to automate. Automating first means automating a guess.
Payments only when you charge If you are validating demand rather than collecting money on day one, the gateway can wait.
One platform to start Web first, or one app store first, unless your users genuinely cannot be reached that way. React Native makes adding the other cheap later.
Scale is a good problem Architecture that survives your first thousand users is enough. Building for a million costs money now to solve a problem you may never have.

Build

What an MVP engagement includes

Technical scoping

Turning the idea into a defined feature list, an architecture and a launch date — with the things deliberately excluded written down.

Product design

Screens designed for the core flow. Clean and credible, without spending weeks on a design system you may throw away after user feedback.

Web or mobile build

React for web, React Native for iOS and Android. Same engineer either way, so the choice can be made on merit rather than on staffing.

Serverless backend

AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito. Costs close to nothing before traffic arrives and scales without re-architecting when it does.

Analytics from day one

Instrumented so you can see what users actually do. An MVP with no measurement produces opinions instead of evidence.

Launch and iterate

Store submission or web deployment, then a support window for the issues real users find in the first weeks.

For founders

If you have no technical co-founder

You get told when it is a bad idea

A vendor paid by scope has every incentive to agree with you. Expect to be argued with when a feature will not earn its cost.

You own everything

Code, repositories, AWS account and app store listings in your name from the start — which is also what investors and any future CTO will check.

Built to be handed over

Typed, structured, documented code, so hiring an in-house team later is onboarding rather than a rewrite.

Honest about the ceiling

If your idea genuinely needs more engineering than a solo build can responsibly deliver, you will hear that before you spend, not after.

Founders across Chennai

Startup work across the city, including the OMR and Guindy corridors. In-person sessions for scoping, remote for the build.

Questions

Frequently asked

How long does an MVP take to build?

A focused MVP typically takes six to ten weeks from approved scope to launch. The scoping conversation is what determines this more than anything else — a tighter feature list is the only reliable way to launch sooner.

How much does an MVP cost in Chennai?

It depends entirely on scope, which is exactly why the scoping conversation comes first and is free. Once the feature list is agreed you get a fixed price and a fixed date, so your runway planning is based on a real number.

What will it cost to run before we have users?

Very little. Serverless AWS charges for actual usage, so a pre-launch product typically costs a few hundred rupees a month rather than a fixed server bill, and the account is yours.

Should I build web or mobile first?

Whichever your users will actually reach for. Web is faster to launch and iterate; mobile matters when the product needs notifications, camera or genuinely repeated daily use. This gets decided in scoping, on merit.

Do you take equity instead of payment?

No — engagements are paid. That keeps the relationship clean and means you are not giving away ownership at the stage when it is worth the most to you.

Who owns the code and the IP?

You do, entirely. Code, repositories, cloud account and store listings are in your name, which is what any investor or future technical hire will expect to see.

Can you continue after launch?

Yes. Post-launch support is included in the quote and an ongoing retainer is available, but the codebase is built to be handed to an in-house team whenever you are ready.

Can you be our technical co-founder?

Not as a co-founder, but consulting engagements covering architecture decisions, hiring input and technical due diligence are available alongside the build.
